The Dubai Cord Blood & Research Centre receives cord blood from DOHMS gynaecology clinics as well as from private hospitals with in the U.A.E. Dubai Cord Blood & Research Centre is the only cord blood bank to offer the unique Directed or Related Donation Options.

The Directed Donation Option enables parents who want to store their baby’s cord blood the opportunity to help their families in need. After paying very reasonable service charges

 Directed or related will be reserved to particular donor for 20 years & another donation option which is called Volunteer Donation Option that is free off service charges but will be reserved to DCRC & can be used for deserving families in need for umbilical cord blood stem cell transplantation.

The Dubai Cord Blood Services does all processing and storage in our own laboratory. We have built our state-of-the-art cord blood laboratory on the same stringent quality standards that have made us the largest reproductive umbilical stem cell bank in the United Arab Emirates. A team of clinical laboratory scientists and medical technologists, with extensive experience, conduct all processing and storage on-site. DCRC is also equipped with molecular HLA (Human Leukocytes Antigen) typing laboratory that provides essential HLA typing testing services to the donors & patients in order to confirm the possible matching before stem cell transplantation
