Al Twar medical center opened its doors to the public on 24/10/1987 to provide comprehensive health care services. The patient finds an easy suitable access to the health, preventive therapeutic services in order to improve the health standards for the community. Location Map

The center provides all preliminary health care such as:

Preventive supportive services:
Prenatal postnatal care (Clinic for Gynecology Obstetrics)
Neonatal health unit, which provides immunization services.

Therapeutic services:
  • Through this unit, the center manifests the concept of the family medicine which is based on strengthening the relationship between the physicians the patients at the time of health and illness.
  • This comprehensive care includes all age groups and all patients (Males, females and children).
  • Setting appointments to see the doctor receiving the services via the phone daily during two periods (mornings: 8:00-10:00) & (afternoons : 3:00-5:00 p.m.).
  • The patients should come 20 minutes before the appointment to receive the treatment at the time, which is set by the patient.
  • This is done, in order to save time reduce the cost. If the appointment is changed, the patient will be called to come at another time.
  • Emergency cases are received and given the first aid & get referred to the concerned hospitals.
Educational services:
  • The center includes health education office a nutritionist. This section provides educational programs activities to improve the health standards of the community.
  • The center provides unique services such as the home visits for the patients who are unable to come to the center to get the treatment, these patients include the following groups.
  • The Elderly “bed-bound”, the handicapped, the widows (at the time of mourning).
  • The center trains the doctors who are applying for the family medicine specialty at the Arabic Board, as well as trainees from other sections.
  • Issuing death certificates for nationals in coordination with concerned authorities such as police & the resident doctor.
