Al Lusaily Clinic is one of the peripheral clinics of PHC section under the DOH MS. It is located 55 kilomcter away from Al Maktoum Hospital and is on the right side of No.6 high way of al Ain Road . Location Map
The Clinic was opened in 1980 to render health care services to the residents of the area. The clinic serves the local inhabitants of Al Lusaily. Al marmum village, Al Habab, Al Marquab, Margum, Al Faqa, Endurance village, the militart camp and also labours from farm and construction site. Patients attending mainly nationals but few expatriate, servants, school teachers and labours. Al Gazeerah Poultry farm also. |

Services
A. The clinic is consumed with the main health problems an Al Lusaily community providing the preventive, promotive and curative services. It includes the following elements of health care:
- Education of the clients concerning health problems methods to identify, prevent and control it.
- Providing treatment of common diseases and injuries
- Referring patients to specialist’s clinic in the hospitals of DOHMS for further management.
- Preventing against communicable diseases through immunization
B. Dispensing medicines.
- Locals can avail free medicines from our pharmacy
- Expatriates can buy the prescribed medicines either from our pharmacy after the payment or outside private pharmacies
C. Transfer patients file.
This has to be arranged by the requesting patent through the administrative officer.
D. Home Visit.
The medical officer or a nursing staff can go on home visit per patient’s request after approval from director of PHC.
E. Declaration of Death at home:
In case of death at home the medical officer has to certify and make declaration report.
F. Transfer emergency cases from clinic to other hospital
G. The staff has to inform the ambulance services of Rashid Hospital who will provide the ambulance and transfer the patient to the hospital if this serous problem or the patient is having the I.V line then the staff has to escort with the patent.
Procedures done in the clinic:

- Anterior nasal packing.
- Suturing.
- Ear washing.
- Removal of foreign body.
- Gastric wash.
- Urinary Catheterization.
- Incision and drainage.
- Triphining.
Child health services to monitor child health growth, development also promoting breast-feeding and medical advice.
Promotion of proper food supply, good nutrition and environmental sanitation through health education.
Identifying the client who are at risk for disease like, D.M Hypertension, IHD, obesity, Anemia, etc.
Home visit.
The clinic is also concerned to update knowledge and skill of the staff through:
- Conducting lectures in the unit.
- Participating seminars, in service education, training course, lectures outside the unit, reading materials and discussion through questions.

- Skin.
- Child health services .
General Policies :
A. Clinic timing
The clinic opens from 07.00 hours to 14.00 hours from Saturday to Wednesday every alternative Thursday from 08.00 hrs. To 13.00 hours, Fridays and certain public holidays closed.
Skin clinic functions every 1st week and 3rd week Saturday monthly twice.
B. Patents attendance to the clinic for consultation and treatments. All patients attending the clinic should have a valid health card.
In case of expiry health cards the patients should pay Dhs.75 regardless of nationality.
Renewal of health card can be done in the clinic.
C. Appointments for specialist clinic.
Taking appointment for any specialist clinic is done in the clinic
Procedures done by nurses in the Unit .
- Vital signs .
- Wound dressings .
- Administration of oral medicine and suppositories.
- O2 administration.
- Nebulizer .
- Peek flow reading.
- Application of splints and bandages.
- Administration of IM, SC, ID and application of IV.
- Eye wash, blood sugar tests, ECG.
- Cold sponge, collection of specimens, nasogastic suction .
